Coleus detail. A grouping of mottled fresh green and rusty brown coleus plants in a nursery greenhouse. I was really impressed by this grouping of coleus plants and I thought a good abstract image could be created with a close-up photograph of them. The edges of the leaves and the veins have been made to stand out with some digital enhancement, making the image jump out. Bachelor's Buttons, Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus). A Greeting Card with this image can be purchased directly from me at Rob's Photo Shop. In the spring in our front garden we have a yellow-leaved ground cover called Creeping Jenny, which turns green in the summer. Above that we have growing bluish mauve Bachelor's Buttons. By throwing the yellow background out of focus, the Bachelor's Buttons stand out strongly and the yellows and blues work well together. © Rob Huntley
