Lemieux Island, Ottawa - KAP 2015-1
March 12, 2015.
Just a few images. The bulk of the session was devoted to work for a client, the results of which I am not including.
Lemieux Island is in the Ottawa River at the point between Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec where the Prince of Wales Railroad Bridge crosses. The bridge is in two sections with a long stretch (perhaps 200 m) between them where the railway traverses the island. The bridge has not been in use and is under consideration as part of the developing LRT (Light Rail Transit) for the city.
Lemieux Island is the site of one of Ottawa's water filtration plants and also has a great park for picnics and dog walkers.
