NLAS Fairgrounds, Almonte - KAP 2013-25
June 4, 2013.
I have an idea to get a view of the main core of the town of Almonte, with the river running through it and a clear view of the falls and rapids. This session took place at the NLAS Fairgrounds (North Lanark Agricultural Society) but in hindsight this is perhaps not the location to obtain the view I'm seeking using KAP although it would have helped if the wind was blowing 180 degrees in the opposite direction. I anticipated that the wind direction would be a problem but I was determined to KAP having been frustrated with the two sessions I'd had to abort earlier in the day.
I do return to Almonte on June 10 and June 13. The June 13th set is from this same location but with the wind in the opposite direction and improved results.
Anyway, here are a few shots from my first Almonte session.
These photographs were taken using a remote-controlled camera suspended below a kite line (Kite Aerial Photography - KAP).
