KAP 2008-46: Ottawa Super Ex at Lansdowne Park - August 19, 2008
These images were taken at dusk from a "moving" camera. The low light situation lends itself to motion blur and high digital noise. Nevertheless, they have turned out rather well considering the situation and are best suited to low res use on the web.
This is an annual fair near downtown Ottawa, Ontario which I grew up calling the Ottawa Ex. It has (or had) the formal name of the Central Canada Exhibition but is now more commonly called
the SuperEx. It takes place in Lansdowne Park where Frank Clair Stadium and the Aberdeen Pavilion (the Cattle Castle) are located. These buildings can be seen in some of the images in this series. These two buildings were subjects of an earlier KAP session this year during World Wide KAP weekend:
